Despite its name, Poker is not necessarily played with a fixed number of players. In fact, it is a game of strategy. The ideal number of players is between five and eight. When the deal is interrupted for the first betting interval, a new card is dealt to each player. The dealer has the last right to shuffle the pack. The second betting interval is followed by a showdown. The pot is won by the player with the best hand.
